Start with non-critical material
Export or download a small representative set you control, verify it locally, and upload it into a clearly named protected destination.
RonikCloud protects supported file content, file names, and new folder labels on your device before storage. It also documents what remains visible, how recovery works, and how outside shares differ from access inside a small-team workspace.
Founding beta: RonikCloud has not been independently audited. Use non-critical copies and keep another backup.
A meaningful alternative comparison follows the file through upload, local caching, team access, external delivery, recovery, and account operations.
Confirm where the file body and name are encrypted and which service component first receives readable content.
Test the sign-in, key restoration, recovery, and failure guidance you would depend on after losing a device.
Check whether the public link exposes the workspace original or a separate protected copy and what limits the owner controls.
Understand how shared-folder keys, role changes, invitation claims, revoked access, and stale local data are handled.
Different audiences should receive different capabilities. RonikCloud uses personal protection, member-bound Business folder keys, and focused public transfer pages rather than treating every file interaction as the same kind of share.
RonikCloud does not claim a one-click Dropbox importer. Treat migration as a controlled data move and keep an independent verified copy until the new workflow is proven.
Export or download a small representative set you control, verify it locally, and upload it into a clearly named protected destination.
Export the encrypted recovery kit with a separate passphrase, store the two parts apart, and verify the documented recovery flow.
Exercise member invitations, protected links, file requests, comments, and review status before moving an active client or team workflow.
RonikCloud still needs object sizes, upload times, opaque references, parent-child and access relationships, storage routing, subscription state, and limited security records. Providers can observe connection data, timing, and traffic volume.
Choose the service whose tested protection, recovery, collaboration, and operational boundaries match your actual threat model and working habits.

The current RonikCloud client encrypts protected file content, protected file names, and new folder labels on the device before storage. App and browser traffic also uses HTTPS.
New Business folders use a random folder key wrapped separately for each authorized member. Roles and access areas define permitted workspace actions, and membership changes clear stale decrypted Business state on the device.
RonikCloud does not currently claim an automatic Dropbox importer. A cautious migration is to export or download data you control, verify the local copy, upload a representative set, test recovery, and keep the independent source until validation is complete.
